Long after time had begun measuring itself...

Vaelora drifted through the darkness.

It was a world of astonishing beauty. Its oceans shimmered beneath twin moons. Forests sang with creatures that knew neither fear nor hatred. Its people had forgotten the meaning of war.

Then something changed.

The first tremors were so faint that no instrument could measure them.

Children woke from dreams they could not remember.

Animals abandoned places they had nested for generations.

Oceans whispered beneath calm skies.

Ancient stone cracked without cause.

And for the briefest moment...

the planet itself seemed to hesitate.

Its people knew something was wrong.

None understood what.

But somewhere beyond the reach of their stars, one presence watched without surprise.

The Dark One.

It did not watch with hunger.

It watched with certainty.

Something had changed.

Something had opened.

And somewhere in the darkness...

something else had noticed.
